The transformation of this Park Slope townhouse reconfigures a former three-family residence into a two-family duplex above a ground-floor rental.
Guided by a constrained budget, the design strategically preserves key existing elements, including the original stair, railing, windows, and brick façade, while introducing contemporary interventions that are carefully interwoven throughout. A wood-clad wall and ceiling in French oak establish a transitional threshold between traditional and modern, articulating the connection between the living and kitchen spaces.
Project executed while at OPerA Studio Architecture as Project Architect.
